Newly diagnosed can I take sleeping tablets was created by Ma3
Hi I've been recently diagnosed as my platelets were at 3 they're currently reading at 89. I'm due to go on holiday on Friday and thinking to take some sleeping tablets to help me with the flight. Has anyone done this and is it ok to take them being in steroids and suffering with a low platelet count. Thanks Mae

Taking sleeping tablets should be fine. I'm sure the doseage is small. I've been on clonazepam(Anti anxiety meds) for years. What kind do you plan to take and I would just clear it with your GP. Maronese

Ahh brilliant thank you. It's literally only from my flight from the UK to Bali to help me sleep and then on my return home again. I was planning to get Nytol just from my local pharmacy.

I regularly work night shifts.. and takePromethazine when I need to sleep during the day. It has never affected my platelet count.

Thank you very much that's helped. I've got just over the counter nytol from my boots pharmacy.
