Therapy dog was created by Jennica-maire
Hello, my 2 year old was diagnosed with ITP about a week and a half ago. We have obviously been given several environmental restrictions such as foods, climbing, rough housing, etc, but to complicate matters, she is a triplet and, when my husband is at work, I am the only one in the house with them. Policing these restrictions has proven extremely challenging. Someone suggested to me that I may qualify for a therapy dog who could alert me if she is climbing, or possibly prevent it... Just things to put my mind at ease if I am busy with her siblings. I don't know where to start with this so I was wondering if anyone has had success obtaining a service dog for this. Thanks!

Jennica:

I have not seen anyone here ever talk about a service dog for a child with ITP. I've been here daily since 1998 and the subject has never come up. That doesn't mean you wouldn't qualify, just that I've never seen it here.

Good luck!
