Flu Shot

Flu Shot was created by Lollo
Hi there! I have recently been diagnosed with ITP so I am learning to cope with this disease like everybody else. One thing that has come up recently is the flu shot. I am debating whether or not I should get it. I am currently taking Prednisone (which as most of you know is no picnic), and they are trying to wean me off but my counts usually drop with the wean. I am just wondering if getting the flu shot and messing with my already crazy immune system will affect my platelet count. Has anyone had any experiences with getting the shot and it affecting their counts ?
Lauren

Thanks a bunch! I think it is probably safest to hold off on getting the shot for now.
