Staying Positive

Hello all. Just thought i'd get the perspective of other menfolk on staying positive with ITP. For myself, I am the little ray of sunshine and positivity that my family and circle of friends rely on. Which can be draining when dealing with your health. What do you guys do to remain positive? Any little rituals or activities that just bring you back negativity?

Thanks,

Well, I am a mum.... but what my 17 year old son does is to assume that his count is okay till he has a count that proves otherwise. So say if he got a count of 30 he would assume that he was good to go until the next count and not worry about it till then. And he only has counts every 6 months or so, so that's a whole lot of not worrying. And if his count is down, say at 10, then he assumes that it's going to go back up or he'll be okay even if it doesn't. It's a win either way! I think the secret is not to get bogged down in counts. Good luck :-)

That's exactly what I did. It works!

Abarten, there aren't many men around here. The cave is pretty empty.

I guess that means I can decorate this section over here....

So far I guess it has been easy to stay positive since my numbers have been relatively stable for a few month. Whether I need it or not I seem to take a little more "me" time which happens to have included repainting a few rooms to be more warm to me.
