Just a quick update.
Started Rituxan treatment earlier in the week with no serious issues. Platelets tested prior to treatment continue to look good around 70k so they have finally started a very slow taper off prednisone after 7 weeks at 60 mg. I'm thankful steroids work so well for me, but can't wait to get dosage way down or get off completely.
Sandi - I believe the changes are being made due to requirements of PPACA. Good luck with your insurance coverage next year, I know it can be really tough to find a good plan.
Uchallas - I believe Promacta is one of the drugs my hemo said we will not use as it can produce too many platelets which greatly increases risk of clots with APS. But I'm no expert and glad it worked for your wife
