Hey guys, I had a question about a blood count. was created by Robyn
So, a friend of mine has ITP. For months and months now, he's been in the clear. High counts, in good spirits, everything has been great. But today we get this phone call and it's his mom. His counts dropped from (insert large, happy number here) to .5. However, when he starts getting worse he gets tired and sick. He hasn't been feeling any of that. What can this mean? I'm worried. And does this mean he'll have to go to the hospital or....? I'm just scared for him.

Update: Turns out the hospital miscalculated. On one hand, it's one of those "Really??" moments, on the other hand, he's fine, so I'm glad they gave us a false scare instead of false happiness or something.
