He's at 250k this week and holding his Nplate at 3 mcgs per kilo. He is going to have a dentist appointment next week (Friday). The hemonc said, "They can cut him if they want", and was ecstatic at his high counts. He's so happy when Tim has high counts, like a kid, and seems so sad when his counts are low. Its like he feels responsible. Its nice that he cares.

Wow, he is really hanging in there with that dosage!! That is really great! I hope everything at the dentist goes smoothly!

Our dr used to get really happy with Caitlin's counts, but now they're so unpredictable that we just take whatever we get and do what we have to for that week. We've definitely connected her migraines to high platelets. She is going to see a pain dr on Monday (don't like the sound of that because she isn't in pain other than when she has her migraines), but apparently this dr is also a headache specialist and can put her on some better medication than the Norco. She had to take that again earlier this week but we are really limiting how much she can take because we don't want her to become dependent on them.

Yeah, narcs are not the best for migraines. I'm glad they are getting her in with a specialist. As a longterm migraine sufferer (who doesn't get them anymore due to a med I take now), you will be thankful and relieved.

Lauren,
Yes, it helps, though ITP always lurks in the shadows.
