He's at 144k and 3 mcg's per kilo. We have the go ahead for dental work too. He seems to be settled on a dose for now. I worry a bit about dental work because trauma seems to mess with his counts, but I guess it needs done. I know they will boost him before he goes in.

Hoping everyone has a great weekend. I'm going on my first summer swim (pool). Gonna get my extra white body out in the sun (everyone better put on their shades, lol). B)

Glad to hear his counts have been stable te last few weeks. We just got Caitlin's count done this morning too to see if we inject next week on the cruise. I was surprised they dropped to 55 so we definitely have to bring the stuff with us on the cruise, yuck!

Have fun on your first swim! My pool feels like bath water so it hasnt been enjoyable at all! I told my husband he is going to have to start bringing blocks of ice home to cool it down! (the water temp was 94 the other day and its only June!)

Hope the dental work goes smoothly and doesnt affect his count!

We live in a strange new world called ITP...when we see a count like 50k and breathe a fresh breath and think "ah, back to normal". That's what I thought anyway...better than 700k. For me a count of around 60-80k is Tim's partial remission stable count (used to be) and was acceptable for a while. We could work with that. When I read Caitlin's counts I also thought, "hope that doesn't mean Tim's gonna come down this week". Weird world we live in...ITP world.

You got that right! Strange world with no clue of what will happen from week to week or month to month! I thought i was seeing a pattern, but i realize i cant always rely on that. Seriously though, part of me wonders if they really gave her the drug on Tuesday or if they injected her with saline. (You cant tell the difference once tbe drug is mixed with the saline.). That would be a better explanation of why her count dropped rather than shot up like it has the last few weeks. Going to call Carnival this morning to see where to dispose of the needle when we re done with it and to make sure the fridge is cold enough for us to store the drug until we mix it.

Since we go back the day after we return from the cruise, i will update with her new count at that time. Im getting more and more nervous now about being sick and i need to snap my mind into a positive mindframe! (i do have the patches so i shld be fine)

Pauline, I am envious of the cruise. Tim, I am far from envious of the dentist. Donna, hope the swim was good and the glare wasn't too bad!

Those numbers are still looking good.

Pauline...let me know about motion sickness. I actually get to go on a cruise in August...its a short one, then a short stay in the Bahamas, then a short cruise back to the mainland.

If they were to do that it would be gross misconduct on someone's part and I'd imagaine if they got caught they'd be for the high jump. Seriously, they would not do that. It's just the way this drug is.
