She is officially back on Nplate! Got her injection this morning after seeing that her count was down to 10. We knew it was low because of all the petechaie she had over the weekend and the dark black circles. She also doesn't feel that great (sinus stuff) so that probably didn't help much, but her wbc count was in the normal range today, which surprised me! I was expecting it to be between 1.5-3.0 because of how she is feeling. They were at 4.3, but that is good considering what she is usually at.
She goes back next week since they are still following the protocol that injections must be done in the clinic until she gets a count of 50 or higher. Her dosage was 400 mcg and that is the maximum dose based on her weight.
So far so good...before, she got carseat on the way home from the clinic every single time after getting an injection. Today, she didn't get carsick at all, but it could be because she's miserable with her cold right now.
Cheer season ended two weeks ago and tryouts for the new season begins next weekend. She will try out for the same level she did last season.
Scary, but true...the count of 10 doesn't even phase me a bit and it should be keeping me on edge. I think I've gotten too comfortable (or used to) with low counts and I don't know if that is a good thing!
