smell like blood

Any of your kids every smell like blood, even if they haven't been bleeding? Yesterday I noticed Tim smelled like blood, and a friend of his also noticed it. His counts were 52k, so it seems a little odd to me. He had no bleeding at all.

To be honest...I don't know what blood smells like and I've never tried. I think every time Caitlin has had a horrible nose bleed, I've been so focused on getting it under control that I don't notice anything else. The only thing that really smells bad to me, is when the kids come in from playing outside or of course, when they vomit, but luckily, I haven't experienced this much! (Knocking on wood!)

Yeah, my kids make fun of me cause I smell everything. One interesting thing (kind of gross) is that when my daughter got her first period, before she knew it, I smelled it. We were driving in the car (after I picked her up from school) and I could smell it, and I said, "did you start your period today?" She said no, but when we got home, a few hours later, she started it. I have a super keen sense of smell, I guess, lol. They always make fun of me for it. They say, "mom you smell everything". LOL. I guess I'm weird that way.

My uncle has an incredible sence of smells as well..
He smells every change in a persons normal body fragrance..

When my grandma was in her 40's she thought she was going threw meno pause.. My uncle came home and told her: Ma you're pregnant.. She said that's impossible I'm to old to be pregnant.. He said Ma..! I'm sure! I can smell it.. 8 months later she had my aunt!

Lol Donna! I feel blessed that I have an awful sense of smell only because many of my friends' sense of smell is highly sensitive and they can smell everything! I guess it would be good if you could smell a fire starting before it gets big, but it really comes to good use when I work one on one with various middle school kids that don't have the best hygiene! I have no trouble with it while some of the other teachers get onto them about not using enough deoderant after P.E. and stuff like that! Due to this, I am paranoid about hygiene for myself and make sure I shower daily, apply deoderant two to three times a day, and make sure I have nice smelling perfume on (only one squirt due to headaches), etc.

At least you know exactly why your daughter had some moody days! My older daughter just started last Dec and the only way I know she has it is when she reminds me to buy her pads. She will not tell me when she has it and gets embarrassed if I ask.

Anyways, it's nice to have a laugh once in a while! We all have weird quirks about ourselves!

Ive never noticed this, but I'm with Pauline in having a really bad sense of smell. My older kids are paranoid about body odour, and cover themselves in deodorant and aftershave and stuff, and I can' smell any of it - I know they've got it on though, because it gives me asthma!

I smell EVERYTHING, including my kids' smelly pits! I can't take it, lol. If in the care I look at them and roll down the window. They know why. Today in WalMart my I handed my eldest son a handful of change and told him to go buy mints or gum. In the store, lol, where he's not right next to me or in an enclosed area, lol. I'm very, very sensitive to odors, and thankful for deodorant and perfume. I have no asthma, though there is one kind of body powder, don't know what its called just know it by smell and cough, that makes me cough until I can't breathe :blink: . People tend to wear it to church and sit right in front of me, lol. I have to move when they do. It must be holy powder. :dry:
