Have any parents tried papaya extract to increase platelet counts? I've been doing some reading and seeing good things, but I'm unable to find if its safe for children or not?!

It is used for treating thrombocytopenia that accompanies dengue fever, a disease that mostly affects children in tropical countries. I haven't heard of it being used for ITP in children.
