My daughter always received great care at MCG (now Georgia Regents) Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, in Augusta, GA. Not sure all the same docs are still there, as daughter is 20 and hasn't needed treatment in several years, but the care was great from all the docs in the practice, the ER when she had a nonstop nosebleed, and the Children's Medical Center for inpatient stays, bone marrow testing, and tooth extractions (in OR due to bleeding risk) for braces. (I didn't know the doctor Rob mentioned, who apparently came there after my daughter ceased treatment. Our docs included Bell, Vega, McDonough, Ameri. I think Bell and Vega have retired.) They answered questions thoroughly and understood our concerns. They treated as needed, but were neither too eager to treat nor too cavalier to low counts and risks. We knew she was in great hands, and, being in a teaching hospital, they were always quick to get other specialties on board when needed. (Dermatology, gyn, rheumatology, ENT, dentistry - it was all there.) I also liked that their system allowed all her docs of different specialties to access one another's records and all her lab records. Can't praise that group enough.
