Matix is covered in bruises; everywhere, in places where he should not even be bruised. His fingertips are even bruised. We counted approx 20-25 bruises. Called Hem/Onc yesterday and had CBC local that was sent to her. Platelets were 147! What the heck. He had his second bone marrow Aug 20th, which showed hypocellular bone marrow. Working on that with Hem/Onc. He did not bruise around the marrow site after, but now almost one month later last night he has a bruise around the site. I don't even know what to do anymore. I just look at him and cry at night because he looks like he has been through the mill!!!

Maybe take some pictures of what he looks like now or try to get an appointment with his doctor while he has the bruises. Some people have platelet function problems so maybe that is what is going on. Sounds like he needs more testing.

I think they checked that at the last visit. We will find out results at the next visit at the end of September. Thanks for always answering my posts Sandi! You are amazing :)
