My son hasn't been treated in almost 2 years, about 21 months..Not because he was doing well but because they all failed. I am wondering if anyone tried something, had it fail but try again later and have it work? I HATE prednisone, it gave him horrible side effects, but as a rescue he was taking 45mg,for 5days at only 25lbs!! I am considering asking dr if we can "TRY" again..but I am afraid I will only be putting him through heck for nothing..

He is actually in the 20's now, so might seem silly. He isn't making things easier though, he is almost 3 and a half, and he just won't stay out of danger, his little brother just turned 2 Friday, and isn't helping!! I am feeling defeated and I am starting to feel like something is bound to happen

Thanks!! I did call Dr. He was at 13, so I really decided need to try something. He is on steroids for 2 weeks, they will recheck a week after stops, than says can try IVIG again if he is low... :( They also said can still try Rituxan :sick: I just wish there were easier treatments.
