Is an appointment really necessary? was created by grasshopper
On Sunday Hannah hit her hip. A few hours later I noticed a black bruise about an inch, then arround the bruise there was about 4 inches of huge swelling. It must have stuck out about an inch andd a half. I was pretty sure it was ok, but couldn't quite decide whether to get it checked. I did take her to hospital to be checked. They checked her over and checked for any signs of bleeding in the joint and said she was fine. My first question is, would you have taken her to get her checked?

Today we recieved a letter saying as a follow up from us going in she has an appointment booked for four weeks time and to get a blood test done first. At our last hospital we never had follow up appointments every time we used open access. They chose not to take blood when we went in on Sunday as they said we know her count is very low (less than 20) so a blood test would only confirm what we know.

Surely an appointment isn't necessary. What do you think?
