Hi all,
So Mia is now 3 months out from her last of 4 Rituxan treatments. As I've posted before, she's extremely blessed that it worked for her - but I have a couple of observations I thought I'd share for those for whom it isn't working -- or at least not right away -

- Mia's platelets continue to rise -- even 8 almost 9 weeks from last treatment. She started treatment with Rituxan in early January. Got a CBC yesterday and her platelets are at a new high - 264,000. So I think the drug is continuing to kick in, even this late in the going.

I take that as a hopeful sign for others who might not have immediate results from the rituxan. As they say, it really CAN take time.

- Mia had the CBC yesterday because she was getting spontaneous bruising, more blood in her nose, and was bone tired in that "low platelet bone tired" kind of way -- all symptoms previously of her platelets dropping. She was really nervous about the test result. So even with her particular classic symptoms indicating low platelets, she is totally fine. Interesting.

Sending big hopes for everyone to find relief from low platelets AND from the worry that comes with them.
