I have a bit of a random question. I've noticed that every week at my daughters swimming lessons she gets extremely out of breath and tired. So bad that evetyone must be able to hear her heavy breathing. Everyone else in her class is fine, including my other daughter. She is always very active, below average weight for her height and has a very healthy diet so there is no obvious reason. I wondered whether she could be anemic as she has some other symtoms of it (hair seems to have got very thin recently, flaky nails, periods of extremely dark urine, tirednes, very dark marks under her eyes) but she had a cbc done last week and the consultant didn't say anything about being anemic.

Is it possible that this is anything related to ITP?

I think I would look into other possible causes for the symptoms. Could be thyroid or any other number of things. I don't think it's ITP-related.

I'd have to agree with Sandi. I'd have a full check-up including a Thyroid.
thyroid.about.com/od/symptomsrisks/a/symptomsrisks.htm has a good check list to review symptoms.
