Does this sound like blood in her urine? was created by grasshopper
My daughter is nearly six so I never go into the toilet with her and don't check her urine, but I'm sure she doesn't neither.

About a month ago I suddenly realised that quite often over the last couple of months that after she had been to the toilet she had left drips of wee on the seat and that they were brown (sometimes quite dark brown). Once I realised I took a sample but by this time it looked ok. I was at the doctors anyway so got them to test it for blood although it looked ok and the dictor said it was fine.

Again today I saw that her urine was dark brown, so the next time she went for a wee I took a sample and it looked ok again.

Do you think this does sound like blood in her urine or do you think maybe she is not drinking enough?

I think if you ask your GP, they can give you dip sticks to test whether there is blood in urine. If you did this, then you could test over a few days or whatever and put your mind at rest - or not.
