I just wanted to come out and post a quick hi! My son, Isaac was diagnosed with ITP in Jan. of 2006 at the age of 3. He had Rituxan in Oct. 2006 (6 years ago, where did the time go???!) and has continued to be in remission since. We are super busy now that he is almost 10. He is able to participate in all sports, and plays baseball, basketball, and flag football. He earned his black belt in karate last year, just before his 9th birthday. He is also in Cub Scouts and enjoying his time in that. All in all, we are doing great!

I just wanted to say hi, and also to offer some hope to those who are where we were in 2006. I remember how tough it was for us. Isaac didn't respond to IVIG, WinRho and he had a very small response to prednisone. Our thoughts continue to be with those that are still struggling.

Hi Sandi! I know it has been a while... I just didn't realize how long it had been. :-) I guess that is a great thing!

Over the past several years we have traded in a hematologist for a neurologist, but all in all, not so bad. About 4 years ago he was diagnosed with Tourette's. That can be an annoyance at times, but he is such a good kid, that it usually isn't that big of a deal.

How are you doing? I see you retired! How exciting! How has your daughter been doing?
