my chi.ld had as ivig treatment about four weeks ago. we were for a cbc 2 wks ago she has a count of 147 which was great because 2 weeks before that she had a count of 2. Now i have notice bruies for nowhere coming back out and she is as moody as hell you cann't even look at her and she is freaking out. could these be signs that they are on the way back down

I would guess that the bruises were a fair sign of a lower count, yes.

I can always tell when my son's platelets are dropping because of the bruising. I'd say its a safe bet that the bruising is a sign of a lower platelet count.

Hi Dawn,
Sorry they are maybe dropping. My daughter doesnt' really bruise but we know her numbers are on the way down when she has bloody nose mucous in the morning. Not even a real bloody nose -- just a red kleenex and sometimes small clots.

Maybe different people have different signs. Our daughter also gets very tired (and a bit grouchy.)
