what is very low my son had a blood test and they said it was 24 platlelet levels i have seen some on here have even lower the bruses and spots are fadeing we havent had another blood test yet we have just been given a appointment to see the nurse next week

As there is some inaccuracy in platelet counts, everything under 10 is pretty much the same number. My son's doctor says that he only really worries about spontaneous bleeding with counts under 20. Counts can go down to zero and children can still be ok so try not to worry too much. If the bruising and spots are going, thats probably quite a good sign.
