Today Brooke turns 7. She had a blood test this morning and her count is 25K. We have reserved a jump castle for her party on saturday and the doctor says "No jumping!" UGGH!!! How can I tell my baby all her friends can jump and she can't!?!? So frustrated! All I can hope is that her numbers go up dramatically before her next blood draw on Thursday, or they dip below 20K so she can get treated (although I really don't want them to drop). And now there seems to be no accurate emoticon to select for my frustration...

Only my opinion............... I can see the doctors point, but I would choose a couple of quieter friends and let her onto the bouncy castle with them. 25 isn't a bad count and its her birthday after all! I think the main danger is that kids knock heads together, but as long as there aren't too many kids when Brooke is on it you should be able to minimise that risk.

Ali - I was thinking the same thing. We have reserved the castle for the whole day so I was thinking after the party, when everyone goes home, she can jump on her own, or with the little girl next door. I talked to Brooke about it last night and asked her if she wanted to cancel the castle reservation cause she can't jump and she said 'no, my friends can still have fun with it." She is so understanding.
