Thrombopotein Receptor Aganist was created by Rosaleen
Has anyone heard of or used Thrombopotrin Receptor Agonist? (I think that is the correct spelling.) Our doctor is thinking about trying that with our 10 year old, but I don't think it has been used often for children.

Daughter is 10 with chronic ITP. She was first diagnosed at 2 years old. She has had Winn-rho, IVIG, and prednisone many times in last 8 years. She has been taking prednisone since July and her latest count (4 days ago) was at 11,000 which we are actually ok with. But the doctor would like to try this thrompotein. I'm just a bit leery since I can't find much information on it. So any help/thoughts/advice would be appreciated. Count will be checked again this Thursday and possibly starting the new med on Thursday.

I believe these are nPlate and Promacta - you can search the discussions for those drugs. Many here, including kids, have used these. Lots of experience you can read about.
