I can't believe we have had two unplanned trips to the hospital this week!! Hannah hit her head on Sunday and we had to stay the night in hostpital and then she fell over yesterday and bruised her hip and we were at hospital until 11:00 in the evening.

Both times the bruises was swelling up and getting bigger and bigger for several hours. Is this normal for ITP? It seems to always happen when she hits her head, but not normally when she hits other parts of her body. Poor thing, the bruise on her head is the size of a mango and the one on her hip isn't much smaller. I have never seen one like that on her hip, which is why I took her to be checked. It was half the size when we got to hospital, but really raised and bright red bleeding under the skin, but not like a blood blister.

Glad she's ok after all that. You know the routine.....everyone is different and every occasion is different too. The good part is that the bumps on her head went out instead of in. If there is ever a hit and the area indents instead of puffing up, it's definately a time to get to the doc.
