I went to the Doctor today and she dropped down to 49. that is like 95 points in four days. SAo they are thinking that she will be admited into hospital by the end of the week. I was suppose to go out of town and fly home to help my parents move to where I live. I don't know if that will be able to happen. lots of roller coasters with her numbers. I thiknk i better start with kee;ping an over night bag packed

The packed bag is always a good idea. If you tend to use the same car every time you drive her to the doc, just start keeping it in the trunk of the car. PJs and an outfit for each of you, plus basic toiletries, and some amusements (books, toys, etc.) will make you feel more "prepared." I also kept a couple of favorite blankets in the car. That way, if the count was bad, we were ready to make our "nest" in the hospital. Less anxiety for both of us. On the other hand, dropping counts don't mean they will continue to drop. They may stabilize, plateau, or even swing up. If there is no one else to help with your child, perhaps someone else could fly out to help your parents. Good luck.

I feel your pain. On December 21 my daughter was at 435,000 platelets and by December 30 she was back down to 5,000. Unfortunately this is what she has been doing the past 4 months (and has had it for 6 years), but it always seems to happen around the holidays. While it is frustrating (especially not knowing the "whys", we will all get through it, one way or another. Good luck.
