My daughter has had ITP since 2 1/2 months(she is now 5 1/2 months)... She has has severe petechiae every since this all began. Her platelets are very low <10,000. Yesterday we found out her platelets are now 2,000... She is being seen by Texas Children's and they see no reason to act at this time(she has already had a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy which was negative).. While this is reassuring, I am still worried for my baby girl. This morning when we woke her her petechiae seem to have almost cleared up completely. This is odd and I can't help but worry it is a bad sign.. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I cannot imagine the stress of having a baby with ITP. However my petechiae clears when my counts go up so it should be a good sign.

Lauren, that's not a bad sign at all. It may well mean that her count is up which has to be a good thing. ITP generally doesn't last long in babies so here's hoping.
