pediatric docs for ITP in Boston? was created by firkins
Hi --Would really appreciate advice about excellent pediatric hematologists for our 12 year old daughter -- newly diagnosed, though they feel it is the chronic ITP not acute. Our doctor comes well recommended but doesn't talk to us much, so we feel pretty clueless and in the dark. Is this normal?

We live outside Boston so can go anywhere in Boston or NewtonWellesley hospital. Really unsure how to find an excellent doctor. Any tips?

Try clicking on the Resources tab at the top of the page, and then find an ITP doctor - there is a link where you can ask the PDSA for suggestions.
