My hema says no - is it ever safe to sneak tonic water? I miss those G&T's! My counts have been down to 8,000 three times in the past year (Rituxan bolstered them to low-normal for 6 months, but they're back down to 30,000 again), and I wouldn't do anything knowingly to make them worse, but is it ever safe? How volatile is the reaction?

It depends on whether or not you have quinine induced ITP. There are quinine-dependant antibodies which some people have and some do not.
