I haven't got a lot to say here, which is good! After four or five months of constant heavy nosebleeds, Dougie had his nose cauterised in May and mercifully, that seems to have cured the problem. His last count in late May was in the 30s which is great and he mostly has no symptoms at all. He's off to University next week so I hope it stays that way and he has no problems while he is gone. Oh, and he ran his first marathon in August. All in all, a really positive few months. I hope you are all doing well. Ali

Doesn't Dougie have a pretty strong response to Nplate, with a 70 count after two treatments?

Good memory! Yes, he did seem to get a good result from that.

LOL, I cheat and use the 'search' page for historical info.

Do you recall? When he had IVIG, was that a two day treatment or ?

Thanks. I occasionally pop in to read posts but ITP is kind of a non-event in our house since his count went over 20 or so. I feel like a bit of a fraud posting anything!! Yes he is all grown up.....19 at the weekend.

Feel like a fraud? No way! Your input is very valuable. I am always happy to have your calm voice around here for others!

I'm still here and have been in remission since 2005. Experience and knowledge counts!
