Hello friends,
Here I am again with greetings for Christmas & the New Year. Life's merry-go-round seems to be going faster & days go by in a blur! (Perhaps we are just slower now!)
We are well though, & managing farm, family & community commitments.
We experienced several major storms that caused coastal damage, but fortunately crop damage seems to be minimal. A late start to harvest and tedious conditions have been compensated by exceptional yields & good quality (wheat, barley, lentils & canola).
Our families (including 9 grandies) are thriving & growing, with work, school, sport, Church & Mops keeping everyone busy.
In July our 5 week camping holiday 'outback' was cut short with the death of my father-in-law.
I am keeping reasonably well - platelets averaging 30, but hormones have deserted me!
We are bracing for a very hot Christmas - 38 C (100 F) with rain forecast next week. Farmers are becoming very frustrated with fire bans one day, wet the next!
Thank you for friendship & support, & blessings in the new year ahead.
love mj
