Help 3 months till kids wedding what am I missing?

Can anyone think of something I am missing. I feel like i've forgotten something. Is there something else the mother of bride/ family of the bride needs to do???


Things finished:

Wedding dress, mother of bride dress-shoes-earings, wedding cake ordered and paid , wedding venue booked, minister booked, photographer x2, bridal shower venue booked (she will have 2), bridal shower cake ordered, transportation for bride(old fashion car) grooms mom taking care of him.

1/2 done shower invitations
wedding inviations bought talked to printer still in process
Still undecided if she will use real flowers or fake for bouquets

I just know I am missing something big time!

DJ? Centerpieces for the tables? Decorations for the venue? Marriage licenses (if you need them over there)? Wedding rings? Guest book? Champagne glasses for bride and groom? You have a great head start!

I'm planning a wedding too, but I'm the mother of the groom. I am still playing a big part here though and want to be involved. I'm contributing to the funds. My future DIL asked me to provide ideas, so I am! Our wedding is in November.

Wedding guest gifts? Best Man/Usher/Maid of Honor/Bridesmaid thank yous? I had a brides book with the guest book included.

I have a wedding 'list' from when our 3 kids were married, 2 at home in a marquee, including catering/set up etc.

Here's what I saw that you may have missed.

Map/accommodation suggestions for guests.
Hair/makeup appointments
Music for ceremony
Order of service/menu/name tags for seating (to be printed)
Seating plan for reception
Cake knife (we used our wedding cake knife & have it inscribed with names of couples)
Emcee for reception
Speeches

Of course, having no idea what you have planned I may be totally off. Hope it helps.

MJ, that's great! I want that list! I planned my daughter's wedding about 10 years ago, but I'm rusty now. My DIL's mother has not planned a wedding yet.

I cannot believe it has been 10 years . . .
3 weddings, 10 grandies, building/moving house, oh & ITP along for the ride.
We babysat 3 little darlings on the weekend for our daughter as they celebrated with a couple of nights away.
The last 10 years have been a roller coaster ride for sure!

First off thank you everyone!

Wedding is at a winery about 30-40 minutes from our town. Guess I will look into local places people can stay at as well as a map/directions.
The wedding ceremony will be on a grassy area next to the deck of a 200yr old house/ resturant. Cherry trees mark the background for the ceremony.
Marriage licence - Not sure on this as there is some kind of option that the minister announces your intent to marry in the church 3 times.
Reception will be in the carriage house with a deck that is half covered in case of rain. Guest also have the option to tour the winery at their cost (not ours I'm cheap)
The venue has a portable music system we hook an Ipod too. It will be set up for the ceremony than moved to the carriage house for the reception.
Reception is Coctail/ garden party no sit down dinner.
Wedding cake is a cupcake cake.

Her shower table center pieces are part of a game. They represent fairy tale stories. The idea was to bring some of them to the actual wedding. We have wine bottles that she will be decorating as well.

The cake knife is on her shower gift list. Unless she has changed her mind again!

Oh, that sounds fabulous!

The only thing I thought of reading your post was little plates to put used skewers on. (If you're having them, of course) We found skewers in pot plants, on the ground & being left on fresh platters!
