I am - still trying to decide my favourite team - I can't believe the mother and son team who were eliminated a couple of weeks ago - the determination of the mother - she cycled 22k at least. :ohmy:

I was thinking about you and signed in just to send you a message. It was on our news tonight about Danny and that he settling in well with his new handler in Innisfail (nr Calgary) the RCMP dog training facility. They just showed old pics and wouldn't give the name of his handler or where he will be posted. My best wishes to them anyway. :)

Yeah, I was reading about Danny too. I think in some ways it's a good idea not to let known where he goes, but on the other hand, I hope the new handler keeps Cst. Ross's family up to date on how Danny is doing. Mrs. Ross has always said she feels it would be best for Danny to go back to work. I wish him well with his new handler. Hard to believe it's been almost 3 months since the shootings!

I never liked the mom; I found her too annoying! But I sure give her lots of respect for finishing that task! Gotta admit my fav team are the girls Nat and Meagan. Probably cause I saw them at the Olympics (on the tube)and win the Gold.

My computer has been out of commision for a few days - I am now back in the land of the living! Yes I like the "girls" team I also like the "hair guys" they are so laid back and likeable.
I missed last Tues cos I fell asleep (side effect of Nplate)then I am awake at 3am and can't get back to sleep aaaargh. so have to wait for a rerun or check on the internet. I heard the brother and sister were naked in a fast forward and ended up winning this leg of the race. I hope they don't win - they are certainly not my favourite team.

No, my money is still on the girls! I think the boys, Mickey and Pete got 2nd behind the sibs this past week. The girls got in 3rd. Not bad, still in the top 3.

I know - can hardly wait - it was fun seeing them in NB last week. I'm for the girls and Mike and Pete (did I get their names right?) - you know the ones with the hair. I sure like Jon also - couldn't have a better person for the job.

The Rocks where they had to do the flags is where Steven proposed to me 19 years ago. We celebrated our 18th anniversary last Sunday.

Cindy I did see the end of it and was pleased -I would have done if the girls had won. I admired the boys as they played fair (the girls did also) Part of me wanted the girls to win as the money would have gone to financing their next few years training for the next Olympics - they would not have had to scramble looking for sponsorship etc.
I really like the Canadian Amazing Race as it takes us to many different parts of our country.
I'm watching the States Amazing Race now. They are a couple of the reality shows I enjoy.

Melinda, yes and no it ended the way I hoped! I really wanted the girls to win, but can't say I'm disappointed that those guys won. I saw that the night for yours had changed! It's hard to adjust to a new night when you're used to seeing it on another one.

Christine, the only leg they won and it's the winning one! The girls really struggled with that leg. You could really see Natalie was in a lot of pain having to shimmy up the ribbon. And yeah, those two teams were good sportsmen! Now we wait for season 3!

Wish I could have watched yours - so it is all through Canada, that would be good to see. One reason I like Amazing Race is all the locations all over the world I get to see!

Glad you 2 were happy with the winners. So far someone in the one I'm watching wasn't showing good sportsmanship, grabbed the grease pen out of another person's hand so they could write their name on the list first. Couldn't tell who it was though.

This season the teams went to China and France. Other than that, it was mainly here in Canada. When the teams were here in NB, I thought the girls showed their true sportsmanship when the siblings lost their clue and no one else would share theirs, but they did. It was exciting to see one couple get engaged in Paris even tho I wasn't cheering for them.

That's neat the girls did share the clue with the sibling who lost their clue - I'd like to think I would do the same thing.

I just love seeing all the different locations - some of them I'd like to visit and some of them I say no way do I want to go there. The program is like a travel guide and I love it!

We do have a beautiful country and someday Steven and I hope to drive across it. One of my brother-in-laws died and is buried out West, so we'd like to go see his grave site. Can't wait for season 3! Great way to see the country without having to leave home!

What my husband and I have been doing is taking trips across the US - last year we took 2 weeks and drove to California stopping at various locations & came home a different route, it was so much fun! This year we drove to Yellowstone National Park, again stopping along the way. 2 weeks ago we took a short trip right here and went up to Cripple Creek, so beautiful up there (over 10,000' in elevation). We have lived overseas and saw lots - after moving home my only desire was to see Germany and Ireland and so got those ticked off. Now we are planning more trips around the US and I want to see Canada - my husband used to go to Calgary quite a bit as a kid, but I have never seen Canada. At one time we wanted to take the train across your country - that's on the back burner now.

Hope you and Steven can make that trip across the country!

I would love to show off my city! And different parts of the Province. Living on the Bay of Fundy is spectacular! Yes, it is cold in the winter and quite foggy during the summer, but it's worth the visit.

I was out to Edmonton back in /85 to visit a friend of mine. Had a great visit; got to Banff, the Calgary Stampede and the BC/Alberta border. Would love to go back! Gotta win that lottery!

In order to travel in the States, we need to get our passports. Maybe one of these days, we'll get there.

Not sure I'd be able to show off my area but of course would meet!

Calgary Stampede - my husband talks of that when he was young. He likes Calgary. Just hit me, my friend from Texas lived there for years & her daughter married a Canadian.

Cindy I'm not sure if we will go overseas again - but I do keep our passports up to date just in case, and in hopes of going to Canada some day.
