No foolin', that's all it would take? I bet Caroline would be open to entertaining Pittsburgh as a conference location- what say all, shall we lobby for it for '11? I can't think of anyone who wouldn't want to put an arm around you and hug your neck darlin'!

I guess if it were that close, PA or Ohio, I'd have no excuse and would be there. I'd love to meet everyone too!

I lived in both Pittsburgh and Cleveland and would be happy to revisit either one, any time. Cleveland had (has I hope) a great easy train from the airport to downtown. Costs would be more reasonable too. I'm afraid though it seems like they pick the conference venues more with the doctors (and their income levels) in mind. Maybe that's necessary in order to get the top docs in the field to attend. Although you'd think the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame would be a draw.

I'd be happy to go to Cleveland, or Cincinnati - Jim's sister lives in Cincinnati. I'd also be A-OK with Pittsburgh, especially since we all would get to meet Sandi. Caroline lives in Cleveland, I bet she wouldn't mind it in Cleveland. There's lot to do, see and enjoy in any of those places. You're right Erica, costs would be reasonable too. We'll have to lobby Caroline for Ohio or PA for 2011.

There are things to see in Pittsburgh? Like what? All I see when I go there are very tall buildings. Boring.

My daughter is in Venice, Italy today. She started in Germany and will also head to Austria. I won't venture out of my own town (except the NC yearly vacation). How sad am I? I did promise my husband that we'd go to Alaska next year, so I will have to get off my butt!

what is with the crazy air-fare...have never seen anything like this.....................very high rates, but i keep trying...i think that being able to see the fares on the inter-net is actually MORE painful because i did not book 3 weeks ago and fares have gone up...yuck....i think that i will stay with southwest, high as they are, because if one books, and the fare goes down, they do refund...Oh, and no baggage fee (Pul-leaze) and no booking fee (on the phone...airtran or jetblue) gee is it too far to walk from Buffalo to LAs Vegas???//maybe if i start now??????????????????????????????????????????????????

I booked my air. We're staying a few days after the conference, so we booked a package deal, which wasn't any more then the air alone. We'll stay at the conference hotel during the conference, but switch to the Monte Carlo on the Strip Sunday, stay through Wed. We're meeting friends who have their 30th anniversary, so that should be fun.

i am trying so very hard to get airfare that is even remotely reasonable, but so far, no luck.....i will continue to try but some days i get very discouraged....and i really, really want to go to the conference......Kim, can you e-mail me and tell me more about the package deal.....i'll try anything, at this point......madonna

I'm getting excited for the conference too. We are going out tomorrow to the Venetian and going to the conference hotel for two nights and then next door to Kim at the Excalibur for 2 more nights. We are going to see The Jersey Boys while we are there. I think the conference will be great as usual. I think we should lobby for Pittsburg for the next conference too and we can all meet Sandi.

You'd better lobby for Pittsburgh, if you lobby for Pittsburg you'll end up in Kansas, no Sandi! Pittsburgh is a great city, even beyond Sandi - I vote for it too.
