As a kid I would love to watch Miracle on 34th Street. I think I identified with the angsty little girl .

At some point I switched over to watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. It's one of those movies that you can always find something new to laugh about.

Ok this one is a bit of a stretch but those of you that know the movie will make the connection.

Mine is "When Harry Met Sally". Followed by "White Christmas".

Why? With "When Harry Met Sally" I am just a sentimental sap that's all (can you make the connection to a song and the artist that I am thinking?).

With "White Christmas". It is just a wonderful little story with good music and a stellar cast.

I like "Miracle on 34th Street", the original and "Elf" is kinda cute. There's really too many to mention. "White Christmas" is a favorite too.

I love "The Grinch"! I'm trying to save watching it this year until Christmas eve. I'd love it to be part of a christmas eve tradition for my little girl, along with new PJ's & a gingerbread man supper.

Also, "Gone with the Wind" - I only ever have a spare 4 hours or so to watch it around Christmas and I love to put it on while I wrap Christmas presents. It's not a Christmas film, but because I only ever watch it at this time of year it makes me feel all Christmas-y!!!

What Christmas traditions does everyone else have?

Lowest count 1. Highest count 207 (ivig) Indium scan showed predominantly splenic destruction. No meds currently, just seeing how things go.

White Christmas and Miracle on 34th. My husband and I always watch them a few days before Christmas.

My grown children always watch Home Alone on Christmas eve.

Oh Milly I'd love a warm hot Christmas - minus 16 is not my idea of a good temperature, nor is the forecast of snow when the weather-guessers don't agree on what they guess we will get [5" - 3' - hello? :( ]. How I would love to send the next 7 days worth of our weather to you, but my friend that isn't possible - so close those eyes and pretend you are wearing long underwear and it's snowing :)

I am Jewish but my boyfriend is Catholic so we tend to decorate and celebrate for both holidays. 2X the fun. We decorated the week before Thanksgiving. I even have a Hanukkah stocking and menorah ornament. Its always really fun. As far as our favorite movie, I have to say Elf. It never gets old.We usually watch it in December but TBS had it on in July as well this year. We like it so much that my dog groomer gave me a copy. Can't wait to watch it!

We had a bad blizzard over the weekend - temps now minus 30 with the windchill. Curious George's Christmas is NOT on my list of favourites except it kept the grandkids quiet this morning. I watched it three times !!! :(

Has anyone ever seen the movie "Christmas Eve" with Loretta Young? It wasn't a comedy by no means but it was excellent.

Re: Curious George. It was "rolling eyes" moment. Also I tend to speak with animations, which can't be done on a board  I really enjoyed the first showing, the second it wasn't so exciting. The cirumstances were that I was snuggled on the bed with my two grandsons - I fell asleep (I had been shovelling snow most of the morning and the eldest (4 going on 40!) decided to play it again. I loved the moment but not the movie especially for the third time. I am sorry I offended anyone.
BTW one of my favourite Christmas movies is "The Story Lady" with Jessica Tandy. There are others but that one is my favourite.
We are now at minus 23 with windchills minus 32 - can I visit south???????? Christine :)

Christine!

Yes you can visit south! Come on down, although it is not going to be much better here soon! Speaking on behalf of the rest of the people in the world, THAT IS JUST TOO DAMN COLD! lol also, it is completely unnecessary!

And, if anyone gets offended over Curious George, well they just need to see more shows! LOL

Is the cold going to stay for a while or is it abnormal?
