Good news - Melinda was created by Sandi
I just had to tell someone! Holli is here and just told me that she saw a neuro-ophthalmologist today. The Doctor was very thorough and did a few hours of testing. Absolutely NO evidence of TED! It's been 3 years since she was diagnosed with Graves already. Worrying about TED has been a huge stress (for me), and Holli saw one ophthalmologist two years ago who didn't do much in the way of an exam or even really know what he was doing. The guy didn't even take measurements.

Anyway, big relief! How are you doing?

I'm delighted Sandi, that is good news! I wasn't worried about her [unlike her mother ;)] as TED isn't all that common. Has it been 3 years already, time sure flies by!

Sandi,
Pleased to hear all's well with your beautiful girl. Little do we know when our precious ones are born, the concern is forever! Hope she continues to stay well.

I was worried because her antibodies were so high. I know antibodies don't dictate the disorder, but hers were screaming off the charts. I've calmed down a lot since she's been diagnosed, but was still always concerned about TED since she hasn't really had a good exam yet. Perfectly normal is what the doctor said! Let's hope it stays that way.

Yes, it is the best Christmas present!

You know one can have TED and have no thyroid problems at all? My understanding is the antibodies are different - but too not much is really known about TED.

Just keep smiling over that good news and stop the worrying!

I did stop worrying...finally, tonight. After three years, I know that her eyes are really okay.

Yes, I know that one can have TED with no thyroid problems. It is all very strange!
