I can't have kids and am not on birth control. I normally have my period on or next day 11th. Still no period, before I started Promacta had very heavy and painful periods. Regular doctor was going to put me on birth control and Hemo say it would not be necessary if I can't have kids, the Promacta should help with the bleeding.

Steroids will do that. It's probably the Dex.

Dex is a steroid -

"Both prednisone and dexamethasone are types of corticosteroids, drugs based on a naturally occurring hormone produced by the adrenal glands involved in the control of inflammation, stress response, metabolism, behavior, electrolyte balance and more"

I very well could be the reason for the late period

I know, but it can stay in your system for a while and cause irregular periods for a month or two.

Got my period and it was much easier than last mouth. So i'm thinking the Promacta is working, it wasn't as heavy and painful as last mouth. Will get counts on Wednesday... last count was 52K
