Hi, everyone! I am new to the site, which is quite unfortunate considering i am going on 13 yrs. with this disease!!! Im not talking about count in the 70s or higher, im talking low blows, I think my body has literally had millions put into it, and you would never know!!! I was diagnosed with ITP when I was 16, and had a splenectomy when i was 16, trust me, whatever treatment you are on chances are I have been on it, and it failed. My body may respond for up to 6 mths, but then out of nowhere i am at the bottom again. I began my journey on two medications and am now 28. This past year I have tapered myself off of more than 25 prescriptions. I have gone somewhat natural. I have a homeopathic doctor who saw how ill i was, and how low the chemo was making me, and she put me on Blood Stim Liquesence. I also have Lupus, so it pretty much helps my body to start to work together again, not against itself. I have had some low counts since i first started, 17, was the worst, but i am so grateful b/c i feel and look so much better than i have in over a decade! And 17 is kind of awesome for me, considering i have had multiple counts below 1!!! And i am happy to announce that i have not had to go through chemo, blood transfusions, etc....since Oct,2009!!! I just want to let everyone know that there is hope, and there is light at the end of the tunnel! I know now that this may be a life long journey for me, but i keep fighting everyday:)
