On the "New articles posted here" page there is a new post that makes reference to a natural supplement that may help with certain autoimmune conditions, including a newly-identified form of ITP. That supplement is n-acetylglucosamine or also n-acetyl d-glucosamine. It is marketed on Amazon and other sites as N-A-G.

Has anyone used this product, and did it help with platelets or other conditions?

I tried this for interstitial cystitis which may or may not be autoimmune. I used it for a few months but it didnt help. It did not do anything to my platelet counts.

Ellen has been taking N-A-G (n-acetyl glucosamine) 3 grams per day since early November, 3-1/2 months ago. So far she has had good response for bowel symptoms and arthritic pain. She ran out for a short period and symptoms reappeared, disappearing again when she restarted.

Sample size = 1. YMMV

Inconclusive regarding platelets and migraine headaches.
