my Promacta update was created by weirdjack
75mg/day max dosage for the past 10 months.
I started on Promacta with a 4k count (after Cyclosporine ceased to work for me).
In the previous check-up on 8-30-10, my platelet count was 67k.
Yesterday the count was 64k. So it seems to be somewhat stable.
On other treatments, I've averaged 10k-30k or so.
For the past 6 months now, I've averaged over 50k (with fewer side effects).
Prior to Promacta, I had not seen a count of 60k range in years.

The good news is that I get to reduce the dosage to 50mg/day. I am certain my insurance company will be delighted, as it will save them about $2,000 a month.
I'll get a count in a couple of weeks to see how 50mg/day works.
