Rituxan up date

Rituxan up date was created by CindyL
Well, I'm up to 366 now as of yesterday! It was actually suggested to me that I get in touch with my hema and see if he still wants me to get monthly draws. I was going to do that, but as I am lowering my pred and hoping to be off it by the first of the new year, I don't think I will just yet. Later this week I get to go to 2.5mgs for the month of Dec.

So for anyone who has recently done Rituxan, hang in there! I wish you all high platelets!

Thank you Cindy.
I have been watching the Rituxan debate for a while, as I need to be able to make a decision soon on next treatment. I responded to Octagam for a few weeks, & am not sure whether to repeat or try something else, APART from spleen removal.
I don't really want to think about it as we are trying to harvest our crops in unseasonal weather, & I'm busy caring for grandies. But I know I'll have to have an intelligent answer for my specialist in 3 months time, if I make it that long.
Enjoy a Pred free New Year!

MJ, I'm really looking forward to getting off the Pred! It's been 6 long years and I'm ready. Hopefully my counts won't drop, or at least not too much. I don't know how long these counts will last, but I'll take them for as long as they stay.

Enjoy your grandies! Good luck with your decision.

Yeah for you Cindy! It warms my heart to see people getting high numbers. :)
Does such a low dose of Prednisone really do anything? I guess I ask because it did nothing for me at 100mg a day!

Cindy - what fantastic news! I bet you never thought you'd see the day!

I doubt your count will drop from such a low dose of Prednisone; I'm glad you can finally get off of it!

Gretchen, I could never do that much! I had to get cut back to 30 when I was doing 60mgs. back in the beginning. No, I don't think the low dose is doing anything.

Sandi, you are so right! I never thought I'd see counts this high. I can't wait for the end of December!
