Final Rituxan infusion and it's my taper day (down another 5mg to 65mg/day). Unfortunately I've been unresponsive to Rituxan (statically where I started 4 weeks ago @ 14). During 4 weeks had an IVIg that bumped me to 24 but only lasted 6-7 days. Pred doing nothing but messin with my mind, sleep and food! But any day I reduce Pred is a GOOD day!

First I gotta say Hallelujah and Amen!
You gotta give the Rituxan some more time. Weeks even. I'll be praying for a large bump up for you!

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:26
Blessings,

Typical adult Rituxan Rx is 4 IV infusions 7 days apart. Each of mine took about 4.5/5 hours but I believe they were intentionally running a little slow to allow monitoring of systemic reaction - didn't have any. I was also pre-med with two Tylenol and 50mg Benadryl IV to minimize system reaction. Benadryl puts me to sleep for 2-2.5 hours - just can't stay awake. It's easy - just long. Possible side effect, for me, is a metallic "taste" that just won't go away but not everyone has that. Took my own lunch or wife brought me something @ noon and ate while IV in progress. Took books, phone etc to fill the time.

Steve - it's still very early. Rituxan is not known for its quick response.
