Well I'm in A place I love NYC! I was fortunate enough to be able to get an appt. to see Dr. Duiguid at NY Presbyterian on monday. I'm a bit apprehensive about it but eager to explore other treatment options as 200 mgs of Azathioprine a day has had me hovering in the 0-4k range for the last 57 days. Wish me luck! And I'll keep you posted

How great! You're very fortunate that you have the opportunity to have a respected doctor in the ITP field to see you. I hope that you find some answers towards treatment that works well for you. Also, enjoy NYC, it sounds like fun. Yes, please keep us posted.

Lorie - Good luck with everything in NY! Dr. Duiguid is very nice and patient - he's the doctor who diagnosed me with ITP - so the poor guy had to do a lot of explaining because I knew nothing and I was a wreck. Hopefully Dr. Duiguid can give you some answers - he's a brillant man! And like I said before, he's VERY nice so don't be nervous about that. Keep us updated!
