Hi Birgitta,

Thank you for keeping us informed :) . I really appreciate it

What disapointing news, when Promacta offers so much hope :( .

Promacta is the only treatment I have responded to, and I am sure there will others who will be the same.

Birgitta, have you heard anything on the grapevine about whether it will be available in New Zealand? I have not been able to find out anything. I have been on the Promacta Extend Trial here in New Zealand for the past three and a half years now.

Vanessa,
Have you been on Promacta for 3 1/2 years? I've wondered about the long-term....I'm doing so well on Promacta, I hope to be able to take it for years to come!

Hi Vanessa,
Good that you still have positive effects of Promacta :) ! You know I have Google alerts for Eltrombopag/Promacta/Revolade - that is why I get info. You will probably have to mail Medsafe to get info about the situation in New Zeeland - I can't find anything about the drug on their website. Hope the economy is better in New Zeeland than in the UK - I Sweden Revolade was approved March 2010.
Kind regards
Birgitta-A

I only just saw this. It isn't actually the UK, that would upset our Scottish friends. Scotland has their own advisory body. It also isn't the final decision. They have invited comments. I suppose I ought to send my comments in soon.
