I have had itp for 12 years nothing has worked my docter just put me on Danazol im looking for some feedback from people that have been on it :unsure: ??????

Kaylas,
I was on Danazol for a couple of months. I had no side effects. Unfortunately it did nothing for my platelet count.
But as you know we all respond differently. It is worth a try. What about NPlate or Promacta?

I wish I could try Nplate my itp has turned into cyclical itp which means my platelets go up and down there fine all month with my counts going between 250 and 400 then once a month every month they go down to 2-5 and I get really sick. The Nplate only works for people that have constant low counts so because mine goes up it would be very bad for me. I guess ill see how this works :)

Danazol kept me safe for 5 years. I, now at 69 have more then my share of facial hair but a small price to pay.

I was on it briefly when first diagnosed, but since it didn't help, my doctor took me off it.
