Does anyone else take both Promacta and an immunosuppressant? I take Promacta and Cellcept.

Not routinely. But I have at times taken prednisone with my NPlate.

So, it looks like you got Promacta after all? If you're agreeable, it might be useful to others if you tell us whether you got your insurer to pay.

  • Diagnosed in 2000, at 59, after being on moderately high doses of NSAIDs for arthritis. Splenectomy and rituxan both failed (2004). Did well on prednisone till summer 2018--then terrible reactions. Promacta since 11-19.

I took Promacta and Prednisone together from November of 2018 to November of 2020.
Since November of 2020, I take Prednisone with Tavalisse. (Promacta turned out to be bad for my bone marrow.)
