Greetings.
I was diagnosed with ITP in 2016 and have been living with a daily dose of prednisilone since. Iv just switched over to Revolade and after my second tablet my left arm has gone numb and I have tingly left foot. I had hot and cold sweats during the night and fever like symptoms. Has anyone else had anything similar ? I really hope my body adjusts and this isn’t something I have to live with.

Any comments are appreciated.

What was your daily dose of prednisilone? What is your platelet count??

Your symptoms do not sound like fun - hopefully that will be short lived!! What does your doctor say?
I know nothing about Rovolade but I'm sure someone who does will see your post and reply.

  • ITP since 2014. Retired nurse. My belief is empower patients to be involved as much as possible in their care. Read, read, read & ALWAYS question medics about the evidence base they use.

I haven't heard about numbness but I got cough, joint pain, chest pain, pain in left arm, back pain etc. from Revolade. Indeed good to check with the hematologist. I had some who said it's not that bad, or they haven't heard about this, but it is listed as side effects and yes it was pretty bad. Ah yes, cold sweats during (for me) higher doses too. Fever not sure, I definitely had fever on NPlate though, I like Revolade better.

I have been on Revolade for several years and have the cough and joint pain, sometimes tingling and numbness on my left side.Have never connected it to the Revolade and it wasn't that much of a bother to me - mainly because I thought joint pain etc was an "age thing". Shall be following this thread with interest.
