Have any if you read or heard about the Japanese treatment for ITP called Cepharanthine?
Apparently it can be ordered.

Looks like the drug has been around for awhile. Here is a study from 2012 on its efficacy.
"Clinical efficacy of high-dose cepharanthine for idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura: retrospective multicenter analysis"

Since it is an anti-inflammatory and, from the study, seems to work on the same population as Prednisone. Perhaps it is a substitute for Pred. One would think that there is some sort of problem with it. Else, it would have become popular over the past 8 years since. Maybe it is more expensive to produce than Pred?

I wonder why it is not available in the US.
It seems to have minor side effects and is inexpensive compared to others in the US.
