Has anybody used both of these at the same time? If so, did you take them at the same time or at different times of the day? I have been on 50 mg of Promacta for about a month ago and yesterday my platelets were low. Doctor said to do 2 days of Decadron @ 20 mg. I took both at the same time, today, and within about 30 minutes had a really bad flushing feeling (sort of like what it feels like when you take Niacin) with a brief shortness of breath. it was very odd. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've taken promacta with a 40mg pulse of decadron. I'd recommend spacing the drugs out, though they metabolize through entirely different pathways. The side effects your'e listing are actually standard decadron side effects for some people. Many also recommend taking decadron in the morning with breakfast as it more aligns with your natural steroid production.

Thanks for your response. Ultimately, the Promacta was a bust. Back to the drawing board...
