Sanguine Biosciences - I got picked! was created by thomaskm
Finally someone is going to pay me to sample my blood. In November I was contacted by Sanguine Biosciences evidently through the PDSA surveys I completed. A phlebotomist is driving 5 hours 1/3/18 to take a sample. Supposedly going to hand me a $50 gift card. I was interviewed on the phone and gave additional medical history and was selected a few days later. I have no knowledge of what drug company is funding the study or what treatment or drug they are working on. I accepted to participate to further our cause. I was just wondering if any other PDSA members have been approached?

If they ask you to sign anything, read it carefully first. Make sure they are legit.

I saw that survey request in the newsletter too. I wished they'd given a clue about what they're looking for.

Speaking of the newsletter, the latest one has several articles on new treatments. Also I noted they said Fostamatinib is showing good results where other treatments are not - on some 20% of the ITP population. For that 20%, that will be a radical improvement in quality of life.
