Hello all, hope you are doing well.
I am not so good. Had my last Rituxan infusion 10 days ago and I have not been good since.
Flu-like symptoms. Low grade fever. I don't know if it is a reaction to the Rituxan, that I have caught a bug or if
the Rituxan has aggravated the lupus.
The last infusion was a bad one, there was kind of a mess-up with the schedule and only one nurse was scheduled to do at times 6 people. He was quite running, it took 7 hours when my first one which is to be the slowest one to see how one reacts only took 6. So it's been a problem from the get go. Only at this point I don't know what to do....should I go to the
ER? Could they help if I did?
My platelets are all good on a happy note......but I sure feel sick. My hemo is away again for 2 weeks too.....I called but can't get in until March 31. Thanks so much Sandy Too

I often have the same problem not knowing if I'm sick or if Lupus is acting up. I'd say schedule an appointment with your GP and Rheumatologist. Maybe between the two, they can figure something out. Usually, all you can do is ride it out anyway.

Thanks Sandi, it's kind of what I was thinking, but hubby is concerned it to do with the Rituxan. I don't think so....
Will call my rheumy first thing Monday regardless of the cause she will know what to do, and if there is
nothing at least hubby will feel better. Be well, Sandy

Sandy - Even if it has to do with Rituxan, there isn't anything you can do about it anyway. All doctors can do in these situations is make an educated guess about what is going on. I never know if I'm sick or if Lupus is acting up unless it's an obvious symptom like a cough. Just a small change in the weather makes me feel flu-like for days or weeks.
